Construction Week Middle East runs down the biggest and most innovative project launches of the month, ranging from high-rise luxury residentials to 1,700 hectare smart parks

Winter is nearing with a handful of project launches spotlighted to build excitement for the upcoming year.

Frankly, the Middle East’s construction landscape is seeing an influx of uniquely designed projects that showcase the creative talents of architects and developers. As a matter of fact, we are seeing this, not only with major developers like Aldar and DAMAC, but also with boutique developers such as Alpago and URB.

With our eyes set on uncovering the most unique and creative projects of the year, Construction Week Middle East has narrowed down 10 project reveals during the month of October.

Some of the developers that stood out with their projects include Alpago Properties, URB, Sobha Realty, and Dar Al Arkan.

The Middle East’s top project launches in October were:

1. Sobha Realty: The S tower

Type: Luxury residential tower

“The S” fully reflects Sobha Realty’s signature style and sophistication, a result of the company’s vast experience and design capabilities, following Sobha’s unique “backward integration” model. Located between Palm Jumeirah, Sheikh Zayed Road, and Dubai Internet City, the tower offers easy access to the prime locations of Dubai such as Dubai Marina, Emirates Golf Club, and Burj Al Arab among others.

The tower will have 62 floors, hosting 43 stories of residences along with six levels of enclosed podiums designed to park luxury cars.

2. URB: THE PARKS

Type: Sustainable city | 1,700 hectare

URB has unveiled plans to develop Africa’s largest sustainable city known as THE PARKS.

The city will provide the world’s highest standard for sustainable living for 150,000 residents. The city will also produce 100% of its energy, water & food on-site to become a self-sufficient destination. THE PARKS is a 1,700-hectare smart city, planned for the eastern region of South Africa promoting a net-zero lifestyle.

3. Jumeirah Group: Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort & Spa

Type: Resort and Spa | 349 keys

Resting majestically on the unexplored beaches of Bahrain’s West Coast, the resort delivers a secluded oasis away from the hustle of the city. Guests will experience a luxury getaway with stunning ocean views, lush greenery, and waterways invoking a sense of well-being and inspiration at the unique resort.

From panoramic sunsets and an extensive range of leisure and wellness facilities, stays at Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort & Spa will promise moments of harmony.

4. DAMAC: CHIC Tower

Type: Luxury residential | 41-storey

DAMAC Properties has unveiled “CHIC Tower”, a 41-storey tower designed to instill wellness and healthy living in a luxurious setting, complimented with ample amenities and facilities.

The project will be the epitome of design complemented with branded interiors by master-jeweler de GRISOGONO.

With a prime location at the heart of Dubai’s Business Bay, DAMAC CHIC Tower grants direct access to the glistening waters of the Dubai Canal, paramount views of the city’s skyline, and unrivalled access to world-class financial and lifestyle districts.

5. ZāZEN Properties: ZāZEN Gardens

Type: Residential district | 159 units

As a first-of-its-kind project, the groundbreaking of the LEED Gold Certified & Wellness integrated development is scheduled to start next month, stated ZāZEN, adding that sustainability and healthy living were at the heart of the prime property.

Apart from its key amenities, the development boasts 3,251m2 of landscaping, multiple recycling stations, EV charging stations and solar panels on the rooftop which will help reduce common area service charges for owners.

6. Alpago Properties: The Palm Flower

Type: Hyper-luxury residential

Designed by Foster + Partners, the architectural design of the building was inspired by the palm flower itself, set to offer residents convenience and sophistication along with breathtaking style.

Each penthouse will have floor-to-ceiling windows offering unobstructed views of the Arabian Gulf, high-end amenities such as private cinema, gymnasium, and a full terrace which have one side with a private pool facing the sea and one side with a garden terrace giving residents ultimate comfort.

7. Dar Al Arkan: Les Vagues by ELIE SAAB

Type: Residences | $270 million

Dar Al Arkan has officially launched the sales of Les Vagues residences by ELIE SAAB in Qetaifan Island North, Qatar, in collaboration with Qetaifan Projects, a leading Qatari real estate development company fully owned by Katara Hospitality.

Les Vagues by ELIE SAAB, valued at 1 billion Qatari Riyal, sets new standards of luxury living in Doha with an architectural design that enhances the appeal of seafront living.

This premium residential project in Qatar includes one, two, and three-bedroom apartments with terraces offering uninterrupted views of the sea, the marina, and the Doha skyline.

8. Select Group: Peninsula

Type: Master community | 6 towers

As the first community-focused waterfront development in Business Bay, Peninsula comprises six premium residential towers, waterfront podiums and commercial units. With an active and social lifestyle at its core, the master development features a variety of lifestyle facilities, from tennis and padel courts to running tracks and a skate park, along with family play areas.

Peninsula Four, The Plaza, is located at the epicentre of the community marketplace (The Plaza), showcasing a vibrant waterfront gastronomical, entertainment, and retail scene.

9. Aldar: Saadiyat Lagoons

Type: Residential community | 207 villas in phase 1

The new development is located on the east side of Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island, and available exclusively for UAE national buyers.

The first phase of the integrated development will see 207 villas released on 3 November, with prices starting from $1.7 million. Properties are available in four-, five- and six-bedroom layouts, offering buyers a wide choice to buy villa in sharjah for living in a unique setting.

The community has been designed with a series of residential clusters in three zones and each zone will feature homes with distinct architectural styles catering to the tastes of Aldar’s local customer base.

10. Shurooq: Sharjah Sustainable City

Type: Residential community | 668,901m2

Sharjah Sustainable City, a fully sustainable residential community developed by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) in partnership with Diamond Developers, has launched Phase Three of the project following an overwhelming response to its fully sold-out first two phases.

In addition to sustainable designs, spacious layouts, and smart home facilities, villas in Sharjah Sustainable City will offer a future-proof investment that allows tenants to indulge in an eco-friendly way of living.
